HrMs Walrus (S802)
HrMs Walrus was laid down on 11 October 1979 at the Rotterdam Dry Dock Company yard in Rotterdam. She was launched on the 28th October 1985, but on the 14th August 1986 an electrical fire broke out on board causing an estimated damage of £225 million to repair.
Her completion was delayed until the 13th September 1989, sea trials were carried out in 1990 and 1991 before she was accepted in to service on the 25th March 1992.
Here she is arriving in the port of Leith on the 28th April 2015.
